Rosewood
Rosewood is where most survivors should start, and there is no shame in that.
Why Beginners Start Here
Rosewood is a small, low-density town surrounded by forest. Fewer zombies means more room to learn combat, manage noise and recover from mistakes. It is forgiving in exactly the ways a new survivor needs.
Police Station Loot
The Rosewood police station is a well-known firearm and ammunition source. It is guarded by zombies and should not be your Day One target — but it is a realistic Week One or Week Two goal once you have a weapon and an escape plan.
Fire Station Loot
The fire station offers useful tools, axes and protective clothing. Like the police station, treat it as a planned objective rather than an impulse raid.
Safe Base Locations
The edges of Rosewood, where houses back onto forest, make excellent starter bases — low zombie traffic, quick access to wilderness, and natural escape routes. A fenced-yard house on the town periphery is close to ideal.
Nearby Warehouses
Industrial and storage buildings near Rosewood hold construction materials and bulk supplies. Reaching them comfortably is a strong argument for securing a car early.
