Riverside
Riverside is the quiet, water-adjacent town that rewards survivors who think in months, not days.
Why It Is Underrated
Riverside is small and relatively calm, which makes it a strong, low-pressure start similar to Rosewood. Its standout feature is right there in the name — immediate access to the river.
Water Access
A base near the river solves the water-shutoff problem before it begins and supports fishing as a long-term food source. For a self-sufficient run, that location advantage is hard to overstate.
Loot And Layout
Riverside has fewer dense commercial buildings than the bigger towns, so it favours survivors who farm, fish and forage over those who plan to loot their way through. Pair it with nearby travel for harder-to-find supplies.
Base Locations
Riverside houses backing onto the water or onto forest make excellent long-term bases — quiet, defensible and resource-adjacent.
